Net proceeds are the total dollar you will receive from the sale of your home after accounting for all expenses. As part of our Free Home Value Estimate, we will help you calculate your bottomline.

Step 1: Add up the following cost categories:

  • Cost of Preparing your Home for the Market
  • Cost of Selling your home
  • Moving Cost

Here is a checklist of what to account for in each of these categories.

Preparation Cost:

  • Preparation (Paint, ...)
  • Staging
  • Home repairs

Cost of Selling:

  • Seller Concessions (After Inspection)
  • Real Estate Agent Commissions
  • Transfer or Excise Tax
  • Attorney Closing fees
  • Outstanding mortgage balance
  • Properties Liens

Moving Cost:

  • Temporary Housing
  • Home repairs

Step 2: Calculate Your Bottom Line

Susbtract the total cost of selling from the final sale price of your property. This is also called Net Proceeds.
